Joe Griñé Jr. Says Governor Martinez “Moving New Mexico Forward”

Former Democratic County Commissioner of Santa Fe Joe Griñé Jr. announced today that he will support Governor Susana Martinez for re-election.  Griñé joins a growing list of Democrats who have praised Governor Martinez for moving New Mexico forward.  Griñé released the following statement.

“New Mexico needs a strong leader who will fight for our families to ensure that we have good paying jobs, a great school system and a state government that spends taxpayer dollars wisely.  Under the previous administration, our state suffered from a lack of bold leadership and priorities that were out of step with everyday New Mexicans.

“I am a Democrat.  But I support Governor Susana Martinez because she follows her heart and does what’s right for our families.  Whether she was tackling the largest budget deficit in state history or taking on union bosses to pass education reform, Governor Martinez has never shied away from a fight for our state and has always met challenges head on.

“There’s still much work to be done.  But Governor Martinez has shown that she is the only leader who can – and will – move New Mexico forward.”
