Governor is genuine leader

I think we can all agree that genuine leaders are a rarity these days. That’s why we’re so lucky to have Susana Martinez as our governor. She is genuine and a leader. The best proof of this is her tremendous devotion to fighting child abuse.

She spent 25 years as a prosecutor, focusing on child abuse and child homicide cases. As our governor, she has continued her quest of fighting child abuse.

Since coming into office, she has signed legislation expanding the Amber Alert to allow an alert to be issued for any child who is abducted or in danger, vetoed a measure that would have allowed child killers to avoid life sentences and launched the #SAFE child abuse reporting hotline. Those are just a few of the measures she has championed.

Gov. Martinez gives me hope we can have leaders who put others before self.
