Gary King Believes State’s Best Days Behind Us; Governor Martinez Moving New Mexico Forward
Albuquerque, NM – The race for governor officially starts today with Governor Susana Martinez kicking off the general election by meeting with voters across northern New Mexico in Las Vegas, Española and Farmington. Governor Martinez is telling New Mexicans about her record of accomplishment that is moving the state forward after eight years of failed leadership. But her opponent, Attorney General Gary King, has already made it crystal clear that he believes New Mexico’s best days are in the past and wants to take the state back to the days of Bill Richardson.
“Governor Susana Martinez fights every day to move New Mexico forward by reforming our schools, cutting wasteful spending and diversifying our economy to inoculate our state from the dysfunction in Washington,” said Chris Sanchez, spokesman for Governor Martinez. “Gary King, on the other hand, has failed to lead as attorney general. Instead of taking on the state’s biggest corruption cases, Gary King either bungled them or looked the other way while Bill Richardson’s friends were not held to account. New Mexicans want someone who will go to work every day to fight for their families – not back down to the challenges leaders face every day.”
King’s record as attorney general is one of incompetence and failure. Even the Democratic Party Chairman crowned King the “worst attorney general” ever.
